Daniel Barcelona is the name under which Daniel Garcia Aliaga, Thurakit OÜ's management board member, works as an independent financial planner. He specialises in the self-employed and also works with employees. His services are invoiced by Thurakit OÜ.
How he works
- Financial planning sessions by video call, fully online, in Spanish or Catalan. The sessions are not offered in English.
- He sorts out each client's income, spending, taxes and savings (including the irregular income that comes with being self-employed) and puts it all into a written roadmap: an emergency fund, taxes, retirement, and how to save and invest.
- It starts with a free, no-strings 15-minute call.
Why independent
He takes no commissions from third parties: no banks, no fund managers, no insurers. He is paid only by the people who hire him, so he has no product to push.
Qualifications and experience
Daniel holds the Experto en Asesoramiento Financiero (Certificación MiFID II) qualification from SANFI and the UCEIF Foundation, a qualification validated by the CNMV, Spain's securities regulator. It certifies knowledge; it is not a registration with the CNMV.
He has been investing in the financial markets since 2006.
